Safeguarding

Life Community Church attaches great importance to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Our Trustees and Leadership Team have therefore approved the following policy statement:

The Trust acknowledges its responsibility to provide a safe environment for the children and vulnerable adults in its care. It also acknowledges that they can be the victims of abuse and neglect. Therefore it undertakes to:

  • Treat children and vulnerable adults with respect.
  • Ensure that workers are appropriately recruited, trained and supervised.
  • Implement systems to address concerns about possible abuse.
  • Follow national and local safeguarding legislation and procedures.

This statement is backed up by a comprehensive set of procedures. Those working with children or vulnerable adults have to undergo criminal records checks and receive appropriate training.

Key members of our Safeguarding Team include:

Simon Ford, Safeguarding Co-ordinator
Matthew Klaushofer, Deputy Safeguarding Co-ordinator
Samantha Butt, Trustee Contact
