LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH
f o r  e v e r y  g e n e r a t i o n

We recognise that we are a part of the global church. We want to support and partner with our brothers and sisters in other countries to see lives and communities transformed by the love of Jesus. Here are some of the churches and projects we are Involved with ...

Turkey
LCC supports Pete and Carol Brett financially each month. Pete and Carol have been in Turkey for over 25 years and have been based in Istanbul since 2014. They have begun a Disciple Making Movement in Turkey and to that end they work with key local believers, training them to gather contacts into small groups.  The small groups then, of which over 100 now exit, study key Bible passages as they progress to faith and baptism.  Pete is also finding increasing opportunity to teach and train people about DMM, both in the UK and in a numbers of other countries.

Poland

Cleres and Jane Pacheco are from Brazil and have been serving the Lord in Poland since  2002. Some of us got to know them when they were training in the UK before going out to Poland and have been supporting them in their work.  They adopted Nikodem (Niko b. 6/11/2009) in Poland when he was three years old.  Cleres was invited in early 2026 to pastor a church in Olesno, which is about two hours drive from where they are living in Wrocław. This church had been experiencing difficulties which Cleres and Jane need much wisdom to resolve.  They are also involved in the annual Christian art festival held near Lubiąż, which draws in thousands of mainly non-Christian young people, and at which many have come to Christ.

Nehemiah Project in Zimbabwe
Nehemiah Project was founded in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 2001 in response to the devastating effects of the HIV pandemic. It is a project that seeks to bring the love of God to the marginalised through social action interventions. Ruth and Andy Thorn got involved in 2004, taking out short term missions teams, and moved to Bulawayo in 2011 to expanded the project into other areas. They established a Community Centre in a low income/high density suburb before moving back to the UK in 2015. They and their supporters/donors including Life Community Church continue to invest in this Centre and the milestone of owning the site (previously rented from the City Council) on which the Community Centre stands has recently been reached.

Pastor Obert & Kuda Santungwana – Zimbabwe
Pastor Obert & Kuda Santungwana – Zimbabwe
Pastor Obert and his wife Kuda lead Gateway Church which meets in a bible college in Bulawayo.  Obert is a Bishop in the national leadership of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe.  In the past he was an influential member of the Board of Trustees of Nehemiah Project.  Kuda has a challenging role on the Board of the college.

David & Gail Clayton have been building relationship with Obert & Kuda for a number of years since they visited Zimbabwe as part of a team from Life Community Church. This takes the form of regular contact, video calls and, from time to time, visits to Zimbabwe.  It is a privilege to journey with them as they serve in a very challenging environment.
