If it was possible to know God, would you want to?
The bible explains that God created everything good and gave everything to people.
God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16 Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.” And that is what happened. Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! Genesis 1:29-31 But people sinned (rebelled) against God which caused a barrier between us and God and the world to become broken. When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Romans 5:12 Each of us have turned away from God and tried to live our own way. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23 By ourselves we can do nothing to overcome the barrier which separates us from God, but God has done something. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9 Here's the good news of what God has done... God loves you so much that he sent Jesus to take the punishment for your sin by dying on the cross. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 Jesus then rose from the dead proving he has power over sin and death. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 You can be forgiven and you can know the love of God now and for eternity. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Jesus is the way to a new life with God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me". John 14:6 (See the illustration below) |
