Being part of a community is like being part of a family. Church is not a building in a certain place, a meeting at a certain time or a group for people of a certain age. Church is a community for every generation, everyday, everywhere.
We grow stronger in the context of a discipling/training community so that we can fulfil the mission-
Being on Mission together means we live out our faith in the context of community, following Jesus where he is leading us and seeing the gospel displayed in word and deed.
"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
We are a Christian church and members of the Evangelical Alliance.
We subscribe to The Evangelical Alliance Basis of Faith
What we can expect from the leaders of
Life Community Church:
Leaders will seek to be …
Open and honest, accessible, humble, open to question and challenge, leading transparently with clear purpose, explaining to bring understanding, demonstrating integrity.
Our values are about how we live and behave, how we treat others and how we can expect to be treated.
Together we will seek to be …
Showing the grace, mercy and love of God.
Loving, encouraging, supportive, compassionate. teaching and nurturing to help everyone become the person God wants them to be.
Showing honour and esteem, valuing each person, building up, dealing honestly with people, never belittling or undermining.
Developing and releasing our people in their faith and gifting, building relationship with and a dependence on God, purposefully moving towards our eternal destinies.
In looking outwards, we will seek to be …
Towards churches locally, by developing relationships with leaders and working together in areas of common vision.
Towards individuals and church organisations, by developing relationships that lead to mutual support and accountability.
Serving and relating to individuals and our community.
